This electrical panel is a 3 phase 4 wire 120/208 v 200 amp panel with 42 spaces. It is considered a bolt on breaker style with a main circuit breaker.
Who moves my power wire to my house. The power company or the electrician?
The problem is, the connection outside has not been changed. The power line still runs to the overhang of my house not to the new pipe that holds the upgraded wires. The connections are also only wrapped in electrical tape. I have been fighting with the power company about getting the new wire ran, but they tell me it is the electricians job to do. Question: Who is to change the main wire to my house and make the new connections as well as moving the support cable off my house and onto the pipe? Second: What do I need to tell them in order to get this done?

All of a sudden the dryer made a loud sound and shut off. Well, I have a shelf above the dryer with chemicals, apparently the toilet bowl cleaner leaked down the back wall and a little got into the socket where the dryer pugs in. I unplugged it and wiped it off, even put a hairdryer by socket to dry it out, still feels a bit greasy. Plugged back in and flipped breaker in basement. Made the noise again, dryer does not work. Moe Larry and Curly are the "FIX-ALL FIXERS" and they get hired to fix a doorbell but end up unwiring the whole house and pulling Moe through the wall.
Do I need an licensed electrician to change an outdoor outlet that no longer has any power?
Or is this something where I just turn off all the power to the hose, purchase the outlet at home depot, then install it myself?
I Want to become an Electrician. Is it worth to wait to get into the Union?
I heard that in most non-union shops your not even really an apprentice as much as you are cheap labor and that apprentice's in the Union get way better training. Is it worth it to just wait until the apprenticeship council has an intake and then get into the union or should I just begin working Non-Union? I know the logical answer would be to start working non-union until I get in - but I just hear that it sucks so bad that there's no point unless I'm desperate.

What would an electrician expect is wrong?
Yesterday 3 rooms didn't have power. The GFCI outlet in one of those rooms was tripped. Tried breaker, nothing. Later that afternoon, power came back on to all three rooms, but the water heater and the stove then didn't have power. The rest of the house is unaffected. Anybody experience this before? The house is only 6 years old.

I hear that certain courses can be put towards university credit. Lots of the same stuff would be covered again within the first two years. Even one year accredited would be great.
