if my husband went to school to become an electrician, will those hours transfer to another location?

I am looking to obtain information because my husband went to school to become an electrician but now I have gotten an opportunity to work in Puerto Rico and we are considering moving but he doesn't want to lose the hours that he has already accumulated. Right now he is an apprentice. If anyone knows the answer, let me know. Thanks I think I am going to call his school and find out for certain. Thanks!! :-)
