In my kitchen I have one of those awful light things that is the long plastic tube thing they have in schools and such, and I would like to replace it with something a little nicer and less annoying that doesn't flicker... not top of the line or anything but better then that. What all would be involved in removing what I have, will I need to hire a certified electrician or can I have a family member who knows what he is doing? Any help would be wonderful, thank you!
