How do you think electrical energy relates to paranormal phenomena?

Do you think that by producing enough electrical energy, you could prove the existence of the paranormal? I'm talking in the way of "spirits" using it to manifest. I'm wondering if it would be possible to use a device like a Jacobs Ladder to offer a power source that they could tap into.
