Picture Palace - Glasgow Transport Museum

Anthony Browning, curator of the Glasgow Transport Museum guides us around the historic collection, which was opened in 1964 to house Glasgow's trams. Inside we see the oldest pedal bicycle in the world and Anthony explains the importance of horsepower -- both mechanical and otherwise -- throughout the past century. He shows us a fascinating variety of carriages, stage coaches, early cars and electrical and horse drawn trams. We also visit the workshop where exhibits undergo repairs and visit Kelvingrove Museum for the shipping section.
