I am on m way to being an electrician, and am currently working in construction doing the rough in electrical work. I went to school for 3 years for electrical stuff, but somehow i managed to leave without knowing how to correctly size wire or how to pick the right size circuit breaker for a circuit. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to figure this out? Luckily i didn't pay to go there, it was during high school, i went to a vo-tech school half the day. I learned a lot of stuff there, just never that.... maybe i wasn't there that day or something.. it wasn't really an organized class really...more a "go at it and get stuff done" not so much the teacher teaching... Oh, and how do i decide if it should be a 15A or 20A circuit? I have to figure out how much I'm anticipating the circuit will draw right? Hey jimmy, what NEC is that and what page? I wanna find it and mark it so i can reference it later (i'll need to buy an NEC first though..when does the new one come out? 2008 right?)
