Hi, I'm an electrician living in Canada, I want to live and work in the USA, but don't know where to start. I'm not made of money but I can afford any visa's that may be involved. My largest concern is getting someone from another country to say they will hire me. I'm looking for the first few steps I need to take to get this on the road. Also, my fiancee is a USA native....if that opens up more possibilities. Thank you for any help you might be able to extend my way. Hi, I'm an apprentice electrician living in Canada, I want to live and work in the USA, but don't know where to start. I read the answers I've gotten so far, and read a bit about the fiancee visa, there's some income rules...the problem is, she's been visiting me here in canada for 2 years in august, so the income rules would pose a problem...no? I got an email about how desperately in need they are of electricians in Colorado, which is where she's from. If anyone is knowledgable enough and would rather carry on a conversation with messenger, I'm using my fiancee's account. The name is silken_cricket
