Would it be successful if an electrician or HVAC contractor handed out business cards for Halloween with candy?

I'm an electrician, and my neighbor is an HVAC contractor. This Halloween, if we each placed a business card along with candy into each trick-or-treater's bag, would that be a good way to drum up business for ourselves? The kids would eat the candy, and give the business cards to their parents to keep.
