What jobs can a student of electrical engineering get after college?

Hi, everyone. I'm interested in both mechanical and electrical engineering and building things that can utilize both those engineering fields. What kinds of jobs could an electrical engineering student get after college? I heard that a student can't get a job as an engineer unless they have a certain degree. Is that true? Thanks!
