I am purchasing an older home, and the electrical outlets are all 2 pronged. What is the difference between the 2 and 3 pronged outlets? I have seen people remove the ground from power cords to use in a 2 pronged outlet, but is this safe? How much would it cost to convert the outlets to 3 pronged?
