Is it time to call an electrician or is there anything else I can try?

I turned my kitchen light on yesterday and the light just blew. I tried changing the bulb and the electrical switch box, neither worked. Just want to be sure before I call an electrician. I checked the bulbs (doesn't work). Its only out in the kitchen. Two different light fixtures are in the kitchen (both are out). Checked the breaker (didn't work). Fixtures are attached to different switches. I appreciate the help.
