How does an electrical generator actually produce electrons? I understand the fact that there are two magnets, one facing north, the other facing south, which creates a magnetic field which will keep electrical current in place, I also understand that there is a conductive loop of wire, such as copper or aluminum that rotates on a shaft between the two magnets. What I don't understand is how electrons are actually being produced? Are they being somehow sucked in from surrounding atoms, such as the air, if so, how does this exactly work? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
