How do I find a good electrician?

I need a room re-wired to have additional lighting installed. There's an outlet that doesn't work anymore & I need some outlets checked for wattage levels?(My treadmill blew up) And I need more power for the basement. It's used as a studio..lots of equipment & lighting. What should I ask an electrician to make sure he's good & reasonably priced? btw..I'm in the Manassas Virginia area
