My old houses has fuses and needs circuit breakers. Plus I want to add some outlets and ground others. I got two quotes from people my neighbors recommended -- one from a guy who wanted $8,000 (!!) and one from a guy who wanted less than $2k but wasn't licensed. The guy I really want (based on reputation) is too busy. There has to be a happy medium somewhere. How do I find the electrician of my dreams? I'm thinking more about referral sites where I can see recommendations. The yellow pages will just give me names.
