I got a bid from a local electrician (company) to update some wiring in an older home. I hired them, they did the work. They failed inspection multiple times, some were things they did wrong, some were things they should have changed to bring it up to code but never mentioned in the bid. They charged me another $2500. to make the corrections. Do I have to pay all that, or shouldn't they have known code and included it in their bid?
