I've been updating all the electrical outlets in a room and now a light switch doesn't work. This is one of those switches which controls a certain plug of one outlet. I had a light in the outlet and every time I came into the room I would use the switch on the wall instead of going to the lamp and switching it on. Is this a bad wiring job on my part or do I need a certain outlet which can handle such functionality?
