I have a $250 flat iron which I use to straighten my hair and I really don't have the money to replace it right now, but here's the problem.... I was straightening my hair as usual, and when I got closer to my ear, I heard a kind of flickering noise. There is a crack in the cord about 1mm wide and I saw a spark in it. Since its such a small crack, would I be able to put electrical tape around the cord long enough for me to purchase a new one?
