How can I become an electrician already being employed full time?

I am a journeyman meat cutter with a full time job. I am interested in a trade that offers side job opportunities. I am aware I would have to enter an apprentice program. Does anyone know if it is possible to do this while working another full time job. I appreciate your insight.
