How do I move electrical box forward in an electrical outlet?

I just installed a 3/8 inch stone backsplash in my kitchen. The electrical outlet now sinks into the wall as the new tiles are much thicker. What do I have to do to get the outlet flush with the tiles so I can put the face plate on? Is this something I can do or do I require an electrician?
